Miracle Baby

Mr and Mrs X moved into their new apartment somewhere in Igando(not real location). The landlord and his wife, an elderly couple were glad to have the young couple stay in the empty duplex next to theirs.

3 years down the line, Mrs X was yet to get pregnant and pressure mounted from family and friends.  She was worried. She couldn't stop thinking about it.

She suddenly had an idea and the more she thought about it, the more it made sense to her.

She decided to stop going to her church and start attending a new church. She became fervent in doing God's  work.

She joined the choir, pitched in her 2cents in the children section, found her way to help the needy and less privileged. She was very active and made sure that she was always the first to rush the altar whenever there was a call for people waiting for the fruit of the womb. It was impossible for God to ignore her cries.

And he did it! Hallelujah Mrs X was pregnant. Her husband couldn't suppress his joy, he was gonna be a father.

Fast forward to nine months, Mrs X gave birth to a bouncy baby boy. There was joy in the land. People from far and near came to igando to share their joy.

Fast forward to 365 days there was a lavish party to celebrate the boy's  1st birthday. Everyone was happy. The race for baby number 2 began.

Mr X couldn't sleep, something was bothering him and he wasn't getting a good feeling about it. His son (Promise) looked so much like Oga Landlord. The resemblance was so much his friend's had started making jokes. He decided he needed to do something

He took Promise for a DNA test. And alas, the result was negative, he wasn't the father.

He accosted his wife and challenged her that promise wasn't his son but the landlord's. She denied and so he decided to involve the landlord damning all consequences.

Immediately he challenged Oga landlord with the accusation, Oga Madam began to laugh sarcastically(the pekele pekele kind of lafta).  She said she had suspected but when she challenged her husband, he accused her of mischief so she held her peace.
  
One would expect that Mrs X would seize the opportunity to disappear but No, she wasnt going down without a fight. She wouldn't leave until she told everyone gathered that Mr X was impotent and couldn't father a child and she was only doing him a favour by covering his shame. Toh!

The man was impotent but it was the woman that kept coming out in church for a miracle.

Why did Mrs X feel the need to help God create a Miracle baby,why couldn't she just wait for a real miracle?
